Overview
It’s easy to add your Prospera debit card to Apple Pay
iPhone:
- Open the Wallet app
- Tap + in the upper right corner
- Follow the onscreen instructions to add your Prospera Debit Card
Apple Watch:
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone
- Go to the My Watch tab. If you have multiple watches, choose one
- Tap Wallet & Apple Pay and select Add Credit or Debit Card
- Follow the onscreen instructions to add your Prospera Debit Card Note: If provisioning fails, please try adding the card manually
Paying with Apple Pay
If using an iPhone 8 or earlier with Touch ID, rest your finger or thumb on the home button and hold the top of your iPhone within a few centimetres of the contactless reader. You will see Done and a checkmark on the display letting you know your payment was approved. If vibration and sounds are enabled, you will feel a subtle vibration and hear a beep.
To pay with an iPhone X, double-click the side button, then glance at iPhone X to authenticate with Face ID or enter your passcode. Hold the top of iPhone X within a few centimeters of the contactless reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the display.
With an Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch within a few centimetres of the contactless reader. Wait until you feel a gentle tap. You will see Done and a checkmark on the display letting you know your payment was approved.
Where to Use Apple Pay
Apple Pay using your Prospera Debit Card works wherever Interac® Flash is accepted. Just look for the Interac® Flash logo or contactless symbol at the checkout. Some stores will also display the Apple Pay logo.

Yes, you can add your card to one or more eligible Apple devices, up to a total of 9 devices.
How do I make my Prospera Member Card the default card in Apple Pay?
The first card added to Apple Pay is automatically set to be the default card. To change your default card, open the Wallet app, hold and drag your Prospera card to the front. You may also:
Is Apple Pay free?
No. Apple Pay is included as part of your Prospera account. Each Apple Pay payment will count as an additional debit transaction, if you pay transaction fees for your account. Please contact us any time to discuss the right account package for you.
Is there a maximum dollar amount for a purchase?
No, there is no maximum value for Apple Pay transactions, since each purchase is verified within Apple Pay using Face ID or Touch ID. Please contact us if you experience a situation where a retailer has imposed a limit on Apple Pay transactions.
Am I subject to a daily spending limit?
Yes. Prospera will continue to monitor your total spending across the payment services that access your account, including your Prospera Debit Card at retail locations via Apple Pay. Apple Pay purchases are included in your existing total limit.
Is my account number stored on my phone?
No, your account number is replaced with a secure digital number known as a token. The token represents your Prospera Member Card debit card and is used to make secure purchases, in-app and in-store.

Do I need network access to make a purchase?
No, a network connection is not required to make a payment, but it is recommended to receive transaction alerts.
How do I do a refund?
Refunds are initiated by the Merchant at their POS terminal, following the same rules as refunds do today. It’s recommended that you bring your physical card with you.
What if my device is lost or stolen?
If you believe your device or Apple Pay card information has been lost, stolen or compromised in any way, call us immediately at 1-888-440-4480.
For an iPhone, you can use the Find My iPhone app to temporarily suspend or permanently remove the ability to make payments from your device, even if your device is offline. If you suspend your Prospera Debit Card using Find My iPhone, you can reactivate your card by unlocking your device and entering your Apple ID Passcode when prompted. For any supported Apple device, you can always go to icloud.com/settings, choose the applicable device and delete your card.
Will removing my card from Apple Pay deactivate my plastic card?
No. Removing your Prospera Debit Card from Apple Pay will not affect your plastic card.
On your iPhone through Prospera Mobile Banking App
- Update your Prospera Mobile Banking App to the latest version.
- Sign into Prospera Mobile Banking App on your iPhone.
- Go to settings. Click on Setup Apple Pay.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to add your Prospera Member Card debit card.
On your iPhone through the Wallet app:
- Open the Wallet app.
- Press the plus sign in the upper right corner.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to add your Prospera Member Card debit card.
On your Apple Watch through the Apple Watch app:
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay” and select “Add a credit or debit card”.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to add your Prospera Member Card debit card.
- You can also set up your Apple Watch through the Prospera Mobile Banking App (see above).
